The Office of the Administrator's primary responsibility is to ensure effective implementation of Township Board policies through efficient professional management of all aspects of township government. The Township Administrator serves as the organization's Chief Administrative Office and in this capacity is responsible for administration, coordination, and management of all township services and employees, except those reporting directly to an elected official. In addition the Office of the Administrator is responsible for maintaining a sound financial condition through preparation and management of Hanover Township's annual $7 million budget.
Additional responsibilities of the Administrator's Office are Township Board support, staff leadership, financial management, human resources, communications including the resident newsletter and web site, information technology, intergovernmental relations, capital improvement planning, emergency preparedness, and strategic planning.
The facilities & Maintenance Department has recently been added to ensure proper administration of the Township's building and grounds, including six Township facilities. The department is responsible for custodial services, maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction of all Township buildings.
